Logik spektrum
Jalur ini menjadi bermakna hanya apabila dibaca dengan puncak-puncak jirannya. Dalam amalan, penganalisis terlebih dahulu melihat tugasan di atas, kemudian menyemak sama ada sampel yang sama juga menunjukkan puncak lain yang dijangka untuk motif struktur yang sama. Jalur tunggal berhampiran 930 cm⁻¹ biasanya tidak mencukupi untuk pengenalpastian bahan dengan sendirinya.
