Local means raw spectra stay local.
Research Batch and QC Consistency run on your workstation. Raw spectrum files, full spectral curves, local reference libraries, project metadata, sample IDs, and local file paths are not sent by the Optional Evidence API.
If you explicitly choose Peak Assignment or Literature Evidence, the client shows a preview first and sends only the selected peak positions and optional composition context or note. The local application records this action in API Activity.
Strict Offline mode blocks non-local network destinations and does not check for updates, telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting.
