Dry the sample and rerun FTIR to see whether the 3477/3623 and 1643 cm-1 bands decrease, which would test for adsorbed moisture. If polyester remains a practical possibility, compare against authenticated polyester references and look for the full set of ester-related bands rather than relying on the current weak library hit alone.
